Coronavirus lockdown update

Following the Prime Ministers announcement providing new advice on lockdown rules and guidance, Theresa Villiers has issued the following Covid information update:

The Government's amended rules on social distancing and the lockdown are set out in ‘Our plan to rebuild' which you can see here.

A FAQ page has been released to try to make the new advice easier to understand and answer questions about the gradual easing of the lockdown.

The Department of Transport has published further travel advice as we move into phase two of our response to the Covid emergency, which includes advice on holidays. For the latest TfL travel information, to keep up to date with the advice on public transport in London.

The Chancellor has announced further details on the furlough scheme which will continue to help individuals and businesses over the summer, until October. The Government has also released new guidance to help get the country safely back to work.

Following the PM's announcement, Barnet Council have the latest local information here, this includes local services that will be able to assist at this difficult time.

Lockdown has changed how we work and if you are struggling, please find further information on support here. This includes:

  • feeling unsafe
  • going in to work
  • paying bills
  • getting food
  • having somewhere to live
  • mental health and wellbeing
