As the Diwali season approaches, Theresa Villiers, MP for Chipping Barnet, has issued the following Diwali message:
"Whether or not you are Hindu or Sikh, we can all share in the common values of Diwali. As the long winter months begin, we can celebrate light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance and good over evil. Each year, I look forward to sharing in the festive spirit of Diwali with friends in the Hindu and Sikh communities. It is always a great pleasure, and I am always touched by the warm welcome I receive at a range of Diwali events in Westminster and Barnet."
