Responding to the news that a second GP practice moved into the Brunswick Park Medical Centre on Friday, Theresa Villiers, MP for Chipping Barnet said:
"I'm delighted that Dr Okonkwo and Dr Ilozue have finally been able to move into the Brunswick Park Medical Centre."
"I have fought a three year campaign to get the medical centre refurbished and re-opened. I am delighted that this has now happened."
"It has been a source of frustration to my constituents that this has taken so long but local Conservative ward councillors and I have worked hard to get this issue resolved, alongside the East Barnet Residents Association."
"I brokered a series of meetings at my constituency office to get the GPs round to table with NHS England and NHS Property Services. This was the first time all parties had met for some time, after negotiations stalled earlier in the year."
"Now the patients of Dr Okonkwo and Dr Ilozue will finally be able to get the benefit of these excellent new facilities, alongside the Hampden Square practice which moved in a few weeks ago."
"I understand there are a few issues between NHS Property Services which still need to be finally resolved. I'll keep working to help these get sorted out."
Dr Okonkwo and her colleagues are expected to start seeing patients on Monday 23rd December.
