Eid Mubarak to all my constituents who are celebrating Eid al-Adha this week.
This is a time when Muslims come together with family and friends. As they take part in this important celebration of their faith, Eid al-Adha provides Muslims with the opportunity to reflect on selfless service and support for those in need.
Eid al-Adha is considered one of the holiest events in the Islamic calendar and it coincides with another important pillar of the Islamic faith, the Hajj pilgrimage. I would also like to wish constituents of mine who are taking part in this year’s Hajj a safe and spiritually rewarding trip.
