Theresa Villiers campaigning against A1000 bus lanes

Barnet’s Labour run council and TfL are planning to spend £1.6 million on unwanted new bus lanes in Barnet High Street, Whetstone High Road and Cat Hill. Let's try to stop these disruptive measures from going ahead.

Say no to A1000 bus lanes and Cat Hill bus lanes

  • Current Your details

We the under-signed oppose the plans being considered by Barnet Council, the Mayor of London and TfL to introduce new bus lanes on the A1000 in Barnet High Street (between Wood Street and Meadway) and in Whetstone High Road (between Ravensdale Avenue and Oakleigh Road North); and in Cat Hill in East Barnet.

We believe that these measures would greatly increase traffic congestion whilst failing to deliver any significant travel time benefits for bus passengers. The £1.6 million due to be spent on the proposed new lanes should be focused on pothole repairs instead.

We call on Barnet Council, the Mayor of London and TfL to drop these plans.
